Istrian Estate with Multiple Buildings near Beautiful Beaches

Istria, Rakalj A traditional Istrian estate is for sale in the surroundings of Pula, in the village of Rakalj, one of the last properties of this kind in the area. It is set on a large, peaceful plot surrounded by greenery – ideal for those seeking an authentic atmosphere, privacy and space to develop their own story, whether as a family home, holiday house or tourist project in Istria. The main house is habitable, preserved in its original style with a warm, homely feel. It consists of 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate WC, kitchen, living room and entrance hall. In front of the house there is a charming terrace covered with vine, featuring an original Istrian “škrila” – the traditional stone table with benches, typical for this part of Istria, perfect for long summer gatherings. On the estate there are three additional buildings, all constructed before 1968 and registered with valid documentation. The former two barns and an auxiliary building offer great potential to be converted into guest apartments, an artist’s studio, tavern or space for hobbies/business. A special highlight of this property is the old bread oven, one of only three that have “survived” in the village, today protected as part of the local heritage. Authentic stone details and the atmosphere of bygone times make this estate truly unique. If you are looking for a large estate with character in Istria, where you can combine living, working and enjoying the relaxed Istrian lifestyle, this property in Rakalj near Pula is a rare opportunity.
